ニューヨークのセントラルハーレムの4Bedroom(4LDK)に3人の子供と住んでいます。

2022年の8月から大学生で家を出る為、寝室が開きます。実質高校3年生の娘と小学校3年生の息子と私と2匹の猫がいます。

私はアメリカに20年住んでいて、家の中は英語で会話をしています。子供達はヴァイオリンとピアノをします。子供達3人ともニューヨークのギフテッド学校に通っていて家は比較的静かで、勉強できる環境だと思います。

以前、3人の方とそれぞれルームシェアを経験しており、それぞれ2年〜3年ほど一緒に住んでいた経験と、子供達も毎年夏大学プログラムでルームシェアの経験が豊富にあり、他の方と生活する事に関して好意的です。

自宅付近は145の駅ABCD徒歩8分と148の駅3が徒歩4分と家から近く、コロンビア大学やセントラルパークに25分、タイムスクエアへは35分で着きます。

自宅は5階で階段のみのアクセスとなりますが1番上の階なので騒音なども無く過ごせます。また家の中には自宅でできる小さなジムがあり、洗濯機乾燥機があるので洗濯が大変楽です。

朝はご自身で作っていただく軽食(パンやシリアル等)で夜は週4〜5でMarley&Spoonから届く食材で各国の料理を作っています。好き嫌いも含めて子供達と前の週に食材のメニューを決めるので一緒に選んで貰えると思います。それ以外の日は日本食だったりイタリアンだったりと一般家庭の料理を作ります。

しっかりとした夢や目標を持ち、勉学に励んでいる高校生か大学に通われている方と第2の家族として過ごせる方のホストファミリーになりたいです。

まだ少し先の事なので、ゆっくりとZoom等で顔合わせをしながら決めていきたく思いますが、長期的に滞在を検討される方を優先します。

1年に1度、約3週間ほど(6月下旬)夏の時期に海外旅行に行く可能性があるので、相談しながら日程を組みたく思います。

We have a homestay room available in Upper Manhattan, New York (around 145th Street). Here are the details:

Room Availability: 2 out of 4 bedrooms are available.
Duration and Prices:
5 weeks from 1/20 to 3/1 - $1700
7 weeks from 3/24 to 5/12 - $2300
Long-term stay (starting from 1/20): $1200 per month (for 3 months or more) or $1100 per month (for 6 months or more)
Facilities in Each Room:

Fully private rooms with locks
Bed, study desk, chair, mirror, wardrobe, carpet, air conditioning, heating, and a refrigerator
Shared Spaces: Living room, kitchen, and bathroom. There's a washer-dryer in the home, so no need for a coin laundry.

Other Shared Facilities:

Piano, dining table, dining chairs, whiteboard, printer, exercise bike, and more for your use.

3 minutes walk to 148th Street Station (Line 3)
8 minutes walk to 145th Street Station (Lines ABCD)
Access to Key Locations:

15-minute walk to City College
25-minute train ride (3 to 1) to Columbia University
25-minute train ride (B/C) to the American Museum of Natural History
25-minute train ride (A/3) to Times Square
30-minute train ride (A/3) to Penn Station
Nearby: Within a 5-minute walk, you'll find stations, supermarkets, parks, libraries, pharmacies, banks, Starbucks, and other convenient amenities.

Home: It's on the 5th floor with only stair access but is relatively quiet and ideal for studying.

Rent:

$1200 per month for stays of 3 months or more
$1100 per month for stays of 6 months or more
Deposit: $600

Included in Rent: Rent covers utilities, internet, laundry detergent, toilet paper, kitchen paper, and other necessities.
